Activating and Accessing Box in TerpEngage

With Box in TerpEngage, file sharing is easy, and collaboration is secure.  In this chapter, you will learn how to activate Box with TerpEngage Advisor Link.

Check for Box Activation

  • After logging into TerpEngage, access an Advising Case within a student’s record and scroll to the bottom.
  • If Box has not yet been successfully activated, you will see an image or a red banner like either of the following.  On the other hand, if files are visible, Box has already been successfully activated, and no further action is needed.

Activate Box 

  • To activate Box, first select “Box” by clicking the nine-dot app launcher icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

  • If Box is not visible in the nine-dot app launcher icon, you may search or select “View All” to locate it.

  • The Box application screen will appear.

  • Once it displays, navigate and select the “Box Settings” (second tab) in the top left corner.

  • Here, you will see the option to log in as a Box User.

  • Select “Connect,” and then select “Connect Account” on the following screen.

  • Select the option to log in with your UMD Single Sign-On credentials.

  • Grant and Allow access to Box.

  • Finalize the activation by selecting “Finish” on the next screen.

Accessing Box in Advisor Link

  • Now that Box is successfully activated, you may access it in Advisor Link. To view, navigate back to Advisor Link by selecting the nine-dot app launcher in the top-left corner of the screen.

  • If the Advisor Link is not visible in the nine-dot app launcher icon, you may search or select “View All” to locate it.

  • Return to a contact’s case, and scroll down to the very bottom. Box should be visible along with any files that are associated with the contact’s record.
